The institute and its founder, Dr. Haldipurkar has a well deserved reputation as a “go to” destination for complicated and difficult ophthalmic cases. Over the last 12 years, the institute has catered to the vision and eye care requirements of over 1,50,000 patients. Laxmi Eye Institute is a well equipped, state-of-the-art hospital that offers globally benchmarked diagnostic, therapeutic and surgical solutions. The hospital has three separate Operation Theatres equipped with high end surgical instruments. Laxmi Eye Institute’s therapeutic services span simple vision correction to corneal implantations, phaceoemulsification and other advanced treatments. It is one of the few of its kind in India that offers the complete range of eye care facilities under one roof.

Quality eye treatment for the needy
Laxmi Charitable Trust provides free cataract and other eye services to the rural, tribal and economically marginalized population of the state. The trust also undertakes regular patient and community oriented eye health education seminars, talks, awareness campaign in the Konkan region.

Training and fellowship programs for medical practitioners and paramedics.
The institute has a full fledged training wing called the Laxmi School of Optometry that conducts Degree courses in Optometry. The school is affiliated to the Yashwantrao Chavan Maharashtra Open University, (YCMOU) Nasik. The Laxmi School of Optometry trains optometrists and paramedical assistants and to help the country achieve the goal of “Vision 2020”. The institute also offers fellowship programs for Doctors.

Training & Education
LCTEH has grown over the years to become a 6000 sq. ft. hospital, with a capacity of 30 indoor patients, a well-equipped Operation Theatre capable of handling 12-15 surgeries per day, and an out patients attendance of 800-900 patients per month.
